Why the Directory Exists
Printed local directories are only one part of the record trail. Modern property, deed, court, voter, and historical sources are maintained in separate places. The Village of Mamaroneck adds a local complication because it crosses the Towns of Mamaroneck and Rye. We organize the search paths and access limits so a name, address, or earlier household reference can be directed to the appropriate custodian.
What Is Collected Here
- Search paths: the street directory, city directories, and resident lookup pages each take a distinct approach.
- Custodian information: town assessors, the Westchester County Clerk, elections offices, courts, vital-record offices, libraries, and archives.
- Historical leads: regional directories, newspapers, maps, yearbooks, and the Village Historian.
- Access limits: New York FOIL routes, confidentiality rules, and the difference between an index and an official record.
Limits of This Reference
Village of Mamaroneck Residents Directory is privately operated and is not connected with the Village, either town, Westchester County, New York State, a court, or a library. We cannot retrieve, certify, change, or remove a government record. We also cannot verify a person's current location or provide legal advice. Only the record custodian can correct or certify its material.
Use original records carefully and lawfully. This reference is not a consumer reporting agency and may not be used for FCRA-regulated decisions.
